Helping you find the beauty in your walk with Christ.
Grace. It’s a concept we often take for granted as Christians. It is often considered one of those “religious words” that is bounced around so much that it loses meaning. Grace actually has a very simple meaning, though. Grace is when someone gets something that they do not deserve. In spiritual terms, grace is getting something, namely salvation and second chances, from God that we do not deserve. Every single one of us has sinned, and, if it were not for God’s grace, his gift to us, then we would be hopeless. Praise God, however, that we have salvation through his Son by his grace!
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9; English Standard Version; Crossway, ESV Student Study Bible
By grace alone have we been saved through Christ! Let us not take this gift for granted. It was no small price to be paid for our salvation. From this truth, we should have great joy in our Savior!
